Unza P. - JKT 69-55

The game was mostly controlled by Unza P.. JKT managed to win second period 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded JKT 69-41 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Tyvon Cooper (185, college: Brandon) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Simukwela Lubinda (183-86) helped adding 8 points and 9 rebounds. Unza P.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ugandan center Haji Mbegu (-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and Cornelius Mgaza (-95) scored 4 points and 15 rebounds.

The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. KPA forced 22 Fer.Maputo turnovers. The best player for the winners was Somalian-American guard Faisal Aden (193-89, college: WSU) who scored 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. DR Congolese Michael Kazunguzibwa (-92) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. KPA's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ermelindo Novela (184-91) produced 16 points and center Helton Ubisse (201-95) added 7 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests.

Cobra - City Oilers 71-108

The game was mostly controlled by City Oilers. Cobra was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cobra 52-34 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. City Oilers players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Cobra's players. It was an exceptional evening for American-Ugandan Jordin Mayes (190-91, college: Arizona) who led the winners and scored 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Mexican guard Tyray Petty (192-88, college: Utah Valley) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Ugandan forward Geoffrey Soro (198-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Tony Anthony (-96) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Cobra in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Patriots forced 20 GNBC turnovers and outrebounded them 67-44 including a 30-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. GNBC was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian-Rwandan guard Jean-Victor Mukama (203-94, college: Ryerson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. American-Rwandan guard Kenny Gasana (195-84, college: Boise St.) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Elly Randriamampionona (198-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Constant Mandimbison (190-90) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for GNBC. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
